APMP Qualification in Project Management

 

The Association for Project Management (APM) is the only UK-based organisation dedicated to the professional development and promotion of project management. It has over 17,500 individual and 500 corporate members throughout the UK and abroad. APM qualifications are stand alone awards designed to meet the needs of project staff at different stages in their professional development. Based on the APM Body of Knowledge, the APMP professional qualification is the highest knowledge based qualification awarded by the APM.

Course Overview

The content of the course follows the examination syllabus extracted from the APM Body of Knowledge through the practical explanation of the project life cycle and an in-depth review of best practice project management processes and techniques at each phase. A combination of knowledge transfer, personal reflection, real application, breakout discussion and sample exam questions introduce and examine the techniques, organisational aspects and soft skills necessary for successful project delivery.

 

Who should attend / pre-requisites

APMP is a knowledge-based professional qualification for individuals embarking on a project management career, or looking to implement change into the work place. The APMP qualification allows candidates to demonstrate excellent knowledge of all elements of project management from the strategic and commercial implications of their role, to the technical, organisational and people management skills required to successfully participate in a project team to implement change. Successful completion of the APM Introductory Certificate provides an excellent foundation for the course.

The 3-hour written exam consists of questions designed to demonstrate the candidate’s depth of knowledge of all aspects of project management and the project life cycle including the content, application and benefits of the underpinning techniques.

Cost

The course fee is £1,765 (excluding VAT)

 

The course fee includes course materials, examination and invigilation fees, luncheons, tea, coffee and refreshment for the five days course. Candidates who are either members of the APM or who work for Corporate members are advised to register their membership at the time of booking to received discounted exam fees.
